Título: The Monodromy Conjecture

Ponente: Guillem Blanco (UPC)

Resumen:

The Monodromy Conjecture is one of the most relevant open problems in Singularity Theory. In its simplest form, the conjecture predicts that the behavior of the solutions modulo $p$ of a multivariate polynomial over the rationals is determined by the topology of the complex zero set. In this talk, we will give an overview of the conjecture’s history, its different formulations, and the current state of the art.
